The Lewis Family Descendants support Kenmore Mansion, the colonial home of Betty Washington and Fielding Lewis in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Our most recent family gathering (Heritage Weekend) was held August 29 through September 1, 2024 in Fredericksburg, VA. After a long COVID related hiatus, we had a most successful Heritage Weekend that produced a new slate of LFD Officers. Our newsletter, The Lewis Legacy, was isued in November, 2024 highlighting the weekend events.This and all future newsletters will be sent via email addresses we have on record so if you did not receive your November 2024 issue, please check you Junk or Spam file. The Registrar Office has now been filled so if you are interested in joining our organization, please email your request for application to lewisfamilydescendants@gmail.com. Our membership includes, primarily, descendants of Fielding Lewis, Sr. and Betty Washington Lewis, George Washington's only sister.
A list of Qualifying Ancestors is on this website. If you can document your legal, blood descent from these ancestors you will not need to document your earlier Lewis Ancestor. This list of Qualifying Ancestors brings your proven descent much closer to your own generation.
